World War 2 turned Manila and the Philippines into a battleground between the military forces of the USAFFE and the Japanese Imperial Army. Winning the war was not just about fighting in the field, however. It was also a battle for the hearts and minds of Filipinos. Propaganda posters with catchy slogans and patriotic images were churned out in an attempt to sway people over to either side.
