The Lopez Museum and Library is the oldest privately owned and managed museum and library specializing in Philippine material. Its rariori reaches back to books and maps of the 16th century, works by the first internationally acclaimed duo of Filipino painters, Juan Luna (1855-1899) and Felix R. Hidalgo (1855-1913), plus personal effects of National Hero Jose Rizal (1861-1896). Its visual arts collection includes work by Filipino artists from the 19th to 21st century.
